Gerold,

Known artistically as Shellbair is a leader and strategist with over a decade of experience in project management, finance, banking, community development, marketing, production, and creative direction. His career has been marked by partnerships with entertainment brands and local community enterprises, crafting culturally significant campaigns that span both experiential and digital realms.

With a keen eye for detail, effective communication skills, and a unique ability to bridge the gap between art and science, Gerold ensures the successful execution of his projects.

As a photographer based in New York, Gerold’s creative expression comes alive through the lens. His interest in photography was sparked in childhood, watching his father capture pictures and record events. Today, he specializes in events, lifestyle, and editorial photography, capturing candid images that provoke dialogue and evoke emotion.

Gerold’s portfolio is diverse, having photographed a wide range of events, companies, and individuals. His work includes capturing President Barack Obama at the 44th Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., the 16th Annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival in South Africa, Curlfest NY and Atlanta, professional sporting events, magazine publications, weddings, corporate events, product shoots, maternity, and family portraits. His goal is to capture moments that make viewers feel as if they are reliving or part of the scene.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of Gerold’s life, a passion instilled in him at a young age by his mother’s active role in the church, fundraising, and family activities. As a founding director of a community wellness and engagement nonprofit, Gerold is personally active in the community, organizing art exhibits, showcases, and community-building events that promote self-love, affirmation, and preservation.

In his role as a Director for a Technology Nonprofit, Gerold and his team refurbishes computers, installing the latest software, and travels both internationally and domestically to donate and install computer labs. Over the past few years, he has donated over 300 computers and set up more than 25 computer labs, impacting over 50,000 students and village members across Ghana, Grenada, Jamaica, Haiti, and the US. His work embodies his core values and commitment to community development and empowerment.

Gerold’s connection to the community and travels have provided him with a unique education that goes beyond traditional learning. The diverse cultures, people, and landscapes he has encountered have deeply influenced his core values and artistic expression. His experiences have not only broadened his perspective but also enriched his art, infusing it with a depth and richness that is a testament to his journey. This education continues to shape Gerold’s work, making each project and piece a reflection of his journey and a tribute to the communities he serves.
